This week the 5th grade joined the rest of the 3rd through 8th grade for a fun morning of hands on science experiments, games and attended an informative session on the importance of taking care of our planet. The 5th grade also had an opportunity to meet some interesting animals and impress the staff from the San Diego Zoo with their animal knowledge and environmental awareness. I was happy to see them cheer one another one in games, convey their knowledge of the recycling process and give me a detailed observation of what they dissected from a compost heap. I can tell there will never be a dull moment during this Spring term!
